A Typhoon was recently spotted on John Tyson's Nevada Western Railroad in Virginia City, Nevada. It touched down and left a swath of clean track in it's wake.

Aztec's latest track cleaner, "The Typhoon", is now available in both 2-rail (TS1184) and 3-rail (TS1185) O Scale versions.

Aztec has just come out with O Scale cardboard shipping cartons in assorted sizes to put on your freight station platform or in boxcar doors. The fictional brand names on the boxes include KitchenMaid Refrigerator, Watts Electric Water Heater, Posture Rite Mattress Co, Bill's Printing and Aztec Model Railroad Supplies. They are printed in green ink on tan card stock.

To assemble, cut out the boxes with an X-acto knife, fold and glue. You may wish to make wood or plastic blocks to glue card stock to.

To receive your free set of O Scale boxes send a self-addressed stamped #10 (business size) envelope to Aztec Manufacturing Co., 2701 Conestoga Drive, #113, Carson City, NV 89706.

The following Letter to the Editor appeared in the January/February issue of N-Scale:

Dear Editor,

I have had several different types of N scale track cleaning cars. I had purchased one, used it two or three times and every time it crossed over a switch, it seemed to derail. I contacted the manufacturer to get some trouble shooting ideas and that was harder than keeping the car on the track. Of course, getting a refund or exchange was out of the question. Then, I ran across a magazine ad for Aztec Manufacturing's cleaning cars. I called to inquire about the different styles and options and if there had ever been any complaints about them not crossing switch tracks. I was told there was not and if I ordered one and was not happy, they would refund my money. So, I ordered one. I could not wait to receive it. After it arrived, I took it down to the layout for a test. That car is everything they said it was. What a find! If you are ever looking for a track cleaning car, they do a great job and are well worth the money.
